New Version of Enterprise Service Platform
Submitted by charisma_webmaster on Wed, 14/04/2010 - 00:00.Version 3.2.0 of Enterprise Service Platform (ESP) has been released.
A subset of all the most important new features introduced in release 3.2.0 can be found below:
- Was performed the portability of the Charisma software to work with Oracle RDBMS
- Has been developed a mechanism for email notification of the transition of Change Request state
-
Full integration EOM / EPM that creates synergy between the features of the two products:
- The EPM Change Request can be created directly from EOM
- EOM monitors in EPM the status of a task change request during the promotions along the life cycle.
- Has been developed ability to monitor asynchronously the use of licenses of the various products of the platform. The functionality is realized by a program from the command line, which can be added to the batch script, for example to make a report that highlighted the use of licenses throughout the day.
-
In EOM, you can specify the sequential order in which types of objects must be promoted during the handling of change requests. This feature is especially powerful for applications where the dependencies between objects are bound and require priority rules
between the types (such as header files .H and source files .C for applications in C language). - As been built an utility to export relations from Visual Impact in a compatible format for the corresponding load function.
- In the EPM it’s possible to clone the Change Request, building, with a single command from an existent Change Request, another planned one. The function clones the specific of the Change Request, the task list and the user attributes.

New Version of Enterprise Service Platform
Submitted by charisma_webmaster on Wed, 03/03/2010 - 14:38.Version 3.0.0 of Enterprise Service Platform (ESP) has been released.
A subset of all the most important new features introduced in release 3.0.0 can be found below (Changelog structured by product code):
- ESP: Graphical restructuring of products with a new set of icons.
- ESP: User authentication can now be performed using LDAP -and therefore plain Windows™ Active Directory accounts as well-.
- ESP: The administration panel for the users of Enterprise Service Platform has been improved: authorizations based on systems has been made more usable, and searches can now be performed over all the users.
-
EPM: Change Requests have user-defined attributes that can now be evaluated during promotion (and drive it). User attributes can be updated at the end of a promotion phase and trigger user-customized processes.
User attributes (e.g. a particular date) can be used to perform a search for change requests.
It has been therefore added a new grant option, "SEARCH", in addition to the existing ones: "BROWSE" and "UPDATE". The new grant option has been integrated in the existing administration panel, so all the permissions over user attributes are granted specifying the user profile and a particular state in the Change Request lifecycle. - EPM: It is now possible to exclude, during the promotion of a Change Request, the checks of the status and the promotion for specific (user-defined) types.
- EPM: Now it is possible to define a Change Request over all the CA-Endevor™ systems defined in Charisma Enterprise Service Platform (ESP).
- EPM: A user can now define, from EPM, the notes of a CA-Endevor™ Package. Multiple ways of doing so have been designed and can easily be customized.
